Hi y’all and welcome to have the world on a string! I’m Mary and I’m so glad you have found my little blog. have the world is a way to share my stories on travel, fitness and healthy living. By day, I am an event planner, project manager and creator of learning programs. By night, I am a runner, daughter, smoothie-maker, yogi and an avid reader. Of magazines. And popular tween-trilogies. It’s all good.
But in all seriousness, my favorite way to spend my time (and $$) is traveling to new places, cities, states, countries. I am lucky enough to travel occasionally for work to the Caribbean (yes, huge perk), and I fill many of my remaining weekends with trips across the U.S. and sometimes, even super fun places on other continents.
My hope in sharing my adventures and musings is that I will, perhaps, inspire someone to explore – your neighborhood, your state or the world. There is so much waiting to be discovered!
Other than travel, some topics you might find floating around have the world include healthy recipes, race recaps, volunteer stories, tidbits on leadership, personal development and project management. I hope one, many, or all of these topics will be of interest to you! I’m looking forward to taking some time to document it all, reflect a bit, and share in conversation about these things that occupy my mind and my time!
